The UK-Azerbaijan trade and economic relations have been dynamically developing. Relations between the two countries are largely energy cooperation, Azerbaijani Ambassador to the UK Fakhraddin Gurbanov said.
"Despite this, our main goal is to direct these relations from energy to other spheres of the economy. The Azerbaijani-British Business Council was established just for this end," Gurbanov said.
Two trade missions have visited Azerbaijan for the short term of the Council's activities in the country and the UK held trade and investment forum on Azerbaijan in March. The third UK trade mission will visit Azerbaijan in June. The delegation is expected to comprise the heads of many famous companies. During the visit, they will meet with Azerbaijani partners and receive extensive information on the conditions established in the country for foreign investment and business environment in general.
"We plan to conduct these meetings in Baku and London traditionally. Of course, it all contributes to establishing links between business circles and execution of joint projects," Gurbanov added.
