Azerbaijan's first lady meets UN deputy Secretary General

Azerbaijan's First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, goodwill ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP Mehriban Aliyeva met today with UN Deputy Secretary General Asha-Rose Migiro, who is in Baku to attend the 7th Conference of Ministers responsible for Equality between Women and Men.

It was stressed during the meeting that the international event would support gender equality projects in the world. Touching upon Azerbaijan-UN relations, Mehriban Aliyeva said the Heydar Aliyev Foundation is cooperating with a number of UN agencies. She expressed assurance for further expansion of bilateral ties. Asha-Rose Migiro expressed gratitude to Azerbaijani First Lady for her contribution to the conference.
