Program of Dagestan President's Baku visit announced - UPDATE

During the visit, President Magomedov will meet with the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the Milli Mejlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan. It is expected that during the second day of his visit to Azerbaijan, he will visit the northern region of the country, the Representation said.

An agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation between the two governments will be signed as a result of bilateral talks. Also Baku will host a concert of Dagestan's state ensemble of "Lezginka" which celebrates the 50th anniversary in 2010.

The schedule of the visit has not been confirmed yet. Nevertheless, it has been known that, “Agreement on economic-trade, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation between the Government of Dagestan Republic of the Russian Federation and the Government of Republic of Azerbaijan” will be signed within the framework of the visit.

It will be the first foreign visit of Dagestani President who inaugurated on February 2, 2010. The President is expected to hold first meeting of Azerbaijan-Dagestan intergovernmental commission.
