Deputy Secretary General of Council of Europe to visit Azerbaijan

Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Maud De Boer-Buquicchio will visit Azerbaijan to attend the 7th Council of Europe Conference of Minister responsible for Equality between women and men will be held on 24-25 May 2010 in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The main theme of the conference will be gender equality and bridging the gap between de jure and de facto equality.

There will be two sub-themes: positive action and gender mainstreaming to achieve de facto gender equality, as well as the role of education and the media in combating gender stereotypes.
