
Azerbaijan and Kuwait support establishing a forum of Muslim women parliamentarians within cooperation with the Islamic Inter-Parliamentary Union to advance resolutions and decisions relating to women in the Islamic world.
The issue of the establishing the forum was raised by the head of the Kuwaiti delegation and a member of the Kuwaiti Parliament Masuma Saleh Al-Mubarak at a meeting with the Vice-Speaker of the Azerbaijai Milli Mejlis Bahar Muradova in Baku.
During the meeting the sides discussed ways to boost inter-parliamentary relations between the countries and coordination of Azerbaijan and Kuwait's activities within the international forums, in particular, the Inter-Parliamentary Union and Islamic Inter-Parliamentary Union.
According to Muradova, mutual parliamentary visits will contribute to the development of relations between countries in different fields.
Views changed at the meeting on the issues of women MPs' activities, principles of gender equality in the countries, cooperation in tourism and other issues of mutual interest.
