Azerbaijani Foreign Minister met US Undersecretary of Defense for Policy

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met on Saturday US Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Michele Flournoy, Foreign Ministry press service reported.

At the meeting the sides exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, regional topics and global security.

Michelle Flurnoy said that the U.S. appreciates Azerbaijan's contribution to the international anti-terrorism operations, particularly in support of peace and stability in Afghanistan.

Elmar Mammadyarov said that Azerbaijan and the U.S. cooperate in various fields, and emphasized the role of Azerbaijan in the sphere of fighting terrorism.
