Azerbaijani President received Mauritania's FM

On April 8, Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev received a Mauritanian delegation led by foreign minister Mrs. Naha Mint Hamdi Ould Mouknass, AzerTAc state news agency reported.

The President praised the "first ever high-level visit" between Azerbaijan and Mauritania, expressing hope such reciprocal visits would continue.

President Ilham Aliyev said the visit creates good opportunities for conducting "a wide exchange of views" on the bilateral relations, which, he expressed hope, would be developed.

Naha Mint Hamdi Ould Mouknass offered the Mauritanian leader's greetings to the Azerbaijani President.

The Mauritanian FM said her country is keen to develop relations with Azerbaijan in various spheres. The FM also praised Azerbaijan's development, and said she was impressed by stability and progress in the country.

The Azerbaijani President asked the FM to convey his greetings to the Mauritanian leader.
