Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry urges citizens not to travel to Kyrgyzstan due to the recent situation in Kyrgyzstan.
The overall situation with security of citizens in Kyrgyzstan is very complicated, the Foreign Ministry said.

The ministry asks citizens to be careful while traveling to this country and contact the Azerbaijani Embassy in Bishkek for assistance if necessary.

Otherwise, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry is not responsible for any incidents with the citizens of Azerbaijan in this country.

About 75 people were killed and more than 1,000 were injured in Kyrgyzstan during the riots, the Ministry of Health said. The ministry said that the death toll is not final. The number of dead and wounded is being specified.

The riots began on Wednesday after the opposition came together at the local administration building of the Talas city. Hundreds of people came together, demanding the resignation of the governor of Talas oblast Beishenbek Bolotbekov.
