Russia's embassy in Azerbaijan strengthens security

The Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan has strengthened the security after terrorist acts in Moscow and Dagestan.

"Such measures should always be taken when dealing with large terrorist acts that occurred in our country", Russia's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin told media today.

We do not feel real threat here, the diplomat said.

A joint operation by Russian and Azerbaijani border guards, called the "barrier" has been recently launched. It aims to strengthen security measures at the border between Russia and Azerbaijan areas for criminal elements posing a threat to be localized, the ambassador said.
