
An Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation will visit St. Petersburg to attend the next meeting of the CIS Parliamentary Assembly (PA).
"Apr. 5-9, St. Petersburg will host meeting of the CIS PA, the P34th plenary session of the PA and meetings of the standing committees on political affairs and international relations, security and defense issues, human rights and social policy, science and education," the Azerbaijani parliament told Trend.
The events that will be attended by Azerbaijani parliamentary committee chairmen Arif Rahimzade, Rabiyyat Aslanova and Ali Huseynov, as well as Mps Fazail Agamali, Adil Aliyev and Mejlum Shukurov, will discuss issues of social protection of participants of the Great Patriotic War (GPW), the general principles of local self-government model laws "On protection of intellectual property", "Protection of rights related to scientific discoveries" and other issues.
Presently, the CIS PA and the Council of Europe plan to hold two international conferences on the theme "Future security of Europe", which will be organized to the 65th anniversary of the GPW.
