Azerbaijan's FM to visit Iran

Mammadyarov will attend the events to be conducted by the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on occasions of the Novruz Holiday which has been given an international holiday status by U.N, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Elkhan Polukhov said on March 26.

Mammadyarov will stay in Iran on March 27-28.

According to Polukhov, Mammadyarov will not have bilateral official meetings.

The U.N. has given an international holiday status to the Novruz Holiday. In connection with that the state officials of the Novruz celebrating countries have been invited to the event.

The festivities which will begin on March 27 in Tehran will continue in Shiraz the next day.
