Azerbaijani FM meets Slovak couterpart

Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov has today met Slovakian counterpart Miroslav Lajcak to exchange views on the two countries' bilateral relations.
Speaking to a post-meeting press conference, Lajcak said Slovakia was interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in a variety of fields.

“We, in particular, want to cooperate on energy, agriculture, construction of power stations and environmental protection.”

“We discussed energy security with my Azerbaijani counterpart, and we are well aware of how important role Azerbaijan plays in this field,” Lajcak added.

Mammadyarov said they discussed the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and cooperation within the Eastern partnership program.
