Azerbaijani foreign ministers to discuss OSCE MG co-chair's statements made in Yerevan

At the earliest opportunity, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry and personally Minister Elmar Mammadyarov will discuss with OSCE Minsk Group co-chairman Bernard Fassier (France) his statements that he made in Yerevan, after which Azerbaijan will determine its position on the question, Ministry Spokesman Elkhan Polukhov said.

He was commenting a statement Fassier made in Yerevan recently.

"At the first opportunity, the minister will speak to Fassier about his recent statements," Polukhov told journalists.

Azerbaijan cannot win in case of war in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, Fassier said in Yerevan on Friday.

"Azerbaijan's victory in case of renewed war is impossible, because I personally know bravery of the Armenian and Karabakh warriors" he said at NATO Parliamentary Assembly's "Rose-Roth" workshop.

Fassier believes that the war will not bring benefits to Azerbaijan, as will cause substantial harm to its financial interests and oil trade.

The Co-Chair explained that international investors investing in the Azerbaijani economy will not want to have their funds at risk and will refuse to invest.
