Azerbaijani FM meets German MP

On Friday, Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mamamdyarov met with member of the German Bundestag and head of the German delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Western European Union Joachim Horster.

During the meeting, the parties noted there is room for deepening economic cooperation between Germany and Azerbaijan.

Speaking about processes in the South Caucasus, E. Mammadyarov briefed Horster on Azerbaijan's stance on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The Minister underscored the need to solve the problem very soon in order to establish peace in the region.

The German MP expressed hope that Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh will be settled very soon and stressed the need to step up international efforts in this direction.

Discussions at the meeting mainly focused on Azerbaijan-CoE, Azerbaijan-NATO relationship and other issues.
