UK energy minister Lord Hunt will pay a visit to Baku, the British Embassy reported today.

Hunt will arrive in the country March 3 in the framework of the visit to Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan Feb.28 - March 4.
During his brief visit to Baku, the minister is expected to meet with President of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev.
Over the past decade, great projects such as the development of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field and Shah-Deniz field, as well as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline turned Azerbaijan into a major world energy supplier, Hunt said.
"The Caspian region countries, including Azerbaijan, have significant reserves of hydrocarbons, which can bring great benefits to European consumers. Dream to bring Caspian gas directly to Europe is now closer to reality," he added.
