President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in the region of Gabala on Feb. 27.

President Ilham Aliyev started his visit to Gabala by laying flowers at the monument to the national leader Heydar Aliyev.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev opened a Gilan piano factory here.

The Head of State viewed pianos manufactured here and production process itself.

The factory will be putting out 1200-1500 pianos yearly.

The enterprise currently employs 120 people. The staff will be increased up to 350 as soon as the factory is up and running at full capacity.

A piano manufactured here was presented to President Ilham Aliyev.

President Ilham Aliyev visited Saturday a cold storage for fruits and vegetables here.

The warehouse with a capacity of 5,000 tons of fruits and vegetables holds 7800 sq meters of space. The storage employs 50 people.

President Ilham Aliyev launched a fruit sorting shop.

Azerbaijani Leader viewed products produced by the Gilan-Holding, which carries on business with 28 countries.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev inaugurated a bus station in Gabala region.

The Head of State cut the ribbon symbolizing opening of the station and toured it.

President Ilham Aliyev was told the total area of the two-storey station covers 1,5 hectares. The opening of the facility will contribute to developing transport sector in the region.

Buses will run from the station to Turkey, Russia and other CIS countries.

The Head of State viewed new buses in the station and congratulated the staff.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited a newly-built residential block for IDPs in Zaragan village of Gabala region.

The block was built as part of the State Program on the Improvement of Living Conditions of Refugees and IDPs and Employment Promotion.

Deputy Prime Minister, chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov told the President the block includes two residential and a school building.

The Head of State toured the buildings.

Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev cut the ribbon to inaugurate a kindergarten in Gabala.

The President toured the kindergarten which was built at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The two-storey facility occupies the total area of 942 square meters.

President Ilham Aliyev inaugurated “Caucasus-Park” Youth Center in Gabala.

The head of state familiarized himself with artificial ice rink covering 900 sq km.

President Ilham Aliyev was told the catering facilities, swimming pools, artificial lakes, cafes, children entertainments centers were built at the park with total area of 16 hectares.

Ornamental trees, fountains, up-to-date lighting were also installed here. The center employs 150 people.

The 7-storey hotel occupies the total area of 21,600 square meters and features 3 conference
halls, 2 restaurants and several pools.

The complex also features 38 cottages.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev also opened “Laza” substation in Gabala.

Head of Azerenergy OJSC Etibar Pirverdiyev said the construction of the 110 kV substation, whose area is 1.5 hectares, started in December of 2008.

The construction of the substation was funded by Azerenergy.

President Ilham Aliyev turned a key symbolizing the launch of the facility.

Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev also inaugurated a new building for “Gafgaz Resort” hotel here.

The 6-storey building has 60 rooms and features a restaurant, cafe and bar.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has opened “Fitness” Recreation Center in Gabala.

The Head of State cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the facility, and then toured it.

The center, which covers a total area of 5 hectares, features 700-seat amphitheatre, cinema hall, saunas, Spa and hydromassage rooms, a bowling hall and swimming pools for children.
