Azerbaijani FM meets EU special representative for South Caucasus

The talks focused on the current state of and prospects for the relationship between Azerbaijan and EU.

Mammadyarov said Azerbaijan was interested in cooperation with EU.
He particularly stressed the importance of the EU`s Eastern partnership program.

On the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the minister said Armenia must withdraw its troops from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.
He added the conflict must be settled on the basis of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Semneby, in turn, said the fact that Armenia continues to occupy Azerbaijan`s territories was unacceptable.

He expressed hope the dispute would be resolved soon.
