Azerbaijani Defense Ministry: Perpetrators of armed incident in military unit will be punished

The commission set up upon the Defense Ministry's order thoroughly investigates the armed incident in the Dashkesan region, Defense Spokesman Eldar Sabiroglu reported. Presently, all attention is focused on finding and punishing the perpetrators of the incident.

Two soldiers shot dead four military men and injured the other two in the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's military unit in the Dashkasan region on Jan.28 nearly.  The soldiers shot themselves after the crime.

The Military Prosecutor Office's Heinous Crimes Department launched a criminal case under Articles 120.2.1 (deliberate murder committed by a group of individuals, group of persons by prior conspiracy, an organized group or criminal association (criminal organization), 120.2.3 (deliberate murder of the victim or his relatives in connection with the implementation of this person performance or the performance of public debt) and 120.2.7 (deliberate murder of two or more persons), the Prosecutor Office told Trend News.

Sabiroglu called on the media not yield to emotions when covering materials in connection with the incident and not to mislead the public.
