Azerbaijani president offers congratulations to new PACE chief

“I offer my sincere congratulations to you on your election as PACE president,” the Azerbaijani leader said in his message.

“We place a particular emphasis on close relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe, and at the same time, highly praise this prestigious organization`s growing role in pan-European processes.”

The President also expressed hope “we will continue our constructive cooperation towards ensuring human rights and freedoms, guaranteeing the triumph of democratic values and establishing peace and stability in our region”.
