Azerbaijani president expresses condolences to Ethiopian, Lebanese counterparts over jet crash

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of condolence to Ethiopian leader Girma Wolde-Giorgis over the Ethiopian airlines's jet crash off Beirut, which caused massive loss of lives.

President Aliyev expressed his deep sympathies to the head of Ethiopia, families and friends of the dead.

President has also sent a letter of condolence to President of Lebanon Michel Suleiman.

“I was deeply grieved upon hearing the news on the massive loss of your compatriots` lives caused by the passenger plane crash off Beirut.

On my own behalf and on behalf of the Azerbaijan people, I extend sympathies to You, families of the killed and all people of Lebanon,” the letter reads.
