“Some contradiction and partiality are observed in the strategic policy of Washington which greatly harms global democratic image of the U.S.,” Director of the Centre for Strategic Studies under Azerbaijan’s President Elkhan Nuriyev said.
He was commenting on aid allocated by the U.S. Congress to the separatist regime in the occupied Azerbaijani territories.
He noted that the use of double standards in the democracy of the 21st century is inadmissible.
“It is inadmissible to apply one standard for little countries and another standard for bigger states.
"The allocation of the financial aid to Nagorno-Karabakh and Central Intelligence Agency’s regarding the illegal government in Nagorno-Karabakh as separatist regime contradict each other. It testifies to elements of contradiction and partiality in the U.S. policy on settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” he said.
