Azerbaijani president accepts credentials of newly appointed Korean ambassador

Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev accepted credentials from the newly appointed Korean ambassador to the country Lee Chi-han on Dec. 10.
Following the ceremony, President Ilham Aliyev had a brief conversation with the ambassador.

The President praised “dynamic and successful” development of the two countries' relations.

President Aliyev recalled his visit to Korea and late Korean president Roh Moo-hyun`s Azerbaijan trip, saying these visits played key role in expanding the bilateral relations.

Touching upon the bilateral economic cooperation, President Aliyev hailed the activity of Korean companies in Azerbaijan.

He said the Korean companies were involved in a number of projects in his country, particularly transportation and infrastructure.

Chi-han delivered Korean president Lee Myung-bak`s greetings to the Azerbaijani leader.

The ambassador also hailed the Azerbaijan-Korea relations.

President Ilham Aliyev asked Chi-Han to reciprocate his greetings to the Korean leader.
