Officers of Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles have made a trip to Nevada.

During a visit Consul General Elin Suleymanov and Vice Consul Elshan Baloglanov met with representatives of local authorities and officers of the regional offices of congressmen elected from the state of Nevada, the Consulate General said.
The talks focused on Azerbaijani-American relations, as well as policy of the Azerbaijani leadership to promote regional security, to intensify dialogue among civilizations and to diversify energy sources.
Importance of early resolution of conflicts in the region from the standpoint of U.S. strategic interests was also emphasized.
Official statement of welcome to the Azerbaijani diplomats was read out on behalf of Governor Jim Gibbons, leader of the majority party in the U.S. Senate Harry Reid who is a also senator from Nevada and other members of Congress.
