On Nov. 17, Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev sent a letter of congratulation to his Latvian counterpart Valdis Zatlers on the country`s national holiday, Proclamation of the Republic of Latvia.
“Today relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia are dynamically developing. I`m sure our regular meetings and the expanding political dialogue will contribute to developing and strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields,” the President said in his message.
President Aliyev wished Zatlers “robust health and successes in your activities,” and “the friendly people of Latvia peace and prosperity.
