
Ukrainian president Viktor Yushchenko has issued a decree to grant citizenship to 330 individuals including 12 teenagers, Ukraine’s Citizenship Agency said.
Ukrainian citizenship has been granted to representatives of 39 nationalities including Russians (25 percent), Armenians (21 percent), Moldavians (8 percent), Azerbaijanis (7 percent), Georgians (6 percent) and Koreans (5 percent).
Nearly 34,000 people received citizenship of Ukraine in 2009 according to decisions by the Ukrainian president, internal affairs agencies, diplomatic missions and consular offices.
