13 October 2009 [12:39] - TODAY.AZ
The Karabakh Liberation Organization held a protest action in front of Turkish embassy in Baku on Oct. 13.
The protesters chanted “Turkey, don’t betray Karabakh to Armenians”, “Shame on Turkish government”, “Karabakh or death” and raised the black-featured portraits of Turkish President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and then burned them.

Police prevented the protesters to approach the embassy’ building and 10-minute protest action was held in the nearby park, then police dispersed the protesters.

Several protesters, including KLO leader Akif Naghi were detained by police.

They were also prevented to deliver the picket resolution to the embassy.

The protesters demanded the Turkish government to abandon the policy of opening the borders with Armenia and to stop the negotiations.

The Turkish parliamentarians were urged not to ratify the protocols signed with Armenia.
