Russia-US missile defense talks have started in Moscow.
This is the first discussion after the U.S. scrapped missile plan in Poland and Czech Republic.
Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Ellen Tauscher, who is heading the U.S. delegation, said before the talks that the US is interested in cooperating with Russia in this field and ready to discuss use of Gabala and Armavir radars.
Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov is heading the Russian delegation. The above-mentioned issue will also be discussed during the visit of U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to Moscow.
