Talks with Azerbaijani, Armenian presidents give impression they want to negotiate: U.S. deputy secretary of state

“We are looking forward the Moscow meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents and significant progress in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution."
U.S. Deputy  Secretary of State James Steinberg said at a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan.

He said the talks with Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan give impression that they want to negotiate.

“We felt the striving for conflict resolution. This is a great step forward,” Steinberg said. He said visits to Armenia by the U.S. senior diplomats show that the United States attaches great importance to Armenia.
