Armenian MP: Baku seeks “to inject defeatist medicine to Armenia”

Head of the Heritage faction of the Armenian parliament Stepan Safaryan said.

“The statements which say that the status of Nagorno-Karabakh can not also be resolved at all puts some pressure on world community in an effort to resolve the conflict in their own interests,” he said.

He said the upcoming meeting between Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents and signing of an accord on Nabucco are very important.

The situation is not favourable and even dangerous for Armenia as there are statements that there are territories that are subject to return, he said.

The fearful fact for Armenia is that many of the international documents reflect Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, Safaryan said.
