PACE adopts new program on Azerbaijan for 2009-2010

The session focused on measures to promote and deepen democratic stability in Azerbaijan, Belarus and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As many as 22 programs on human rights, combatting corruption and money laundry, support for IT reforms and assistance with conduct of democratic elections will be implemented in Azerbaijan as a part of the program in 2009-2010.
A number of projects will be financed by the European Commission.
The meeting also adopted declaration on human rights under condition of cultural diversification and major principles regarding human rights’ protection in terms of more effective procedures of granting refuge.
