30 March 2009 [16:51] - TODAY.AZ
Baku will never change its position preventing placement of foreign military bases in Azerbaijan.
"Azerbaijan's foreign policy preventing placement of foreign military bases in the country is unchangeable," Head of International Relations Department of Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Novruz Mammadov told Trend News.

The U.S. media released the information about dislocation of American military bases, which were withdrawn from the Manas air base, in Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.

Kyrgyz President Kurbanbek Bakiyev issued an order removing the U.S. air bases from the international Manas airport.

"We don't have such information," Mammadov added.

Azerbaijan cooperates with the United States on many issues. There is cooperation between the two countries to stabilize the situation in Afghanistan and Iraq. We can extend this cooperation, Mammadov added.
