"The state financing must also cover the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan", said party chairman Sardar Calaloghlu.
He said the Democratic Party is also represented in the parliament, as the political structure joined the parliamentary elections inside the Azadlyg bloc.
"The fact that the parliament includes five deputies from the Musavat party does not prove that this is an achievement of this party. Moreover, there must be a political will in the issue of parties financing and no other factors play any role in it.
For example, our party has sent 15 appeals against the government to the European court of human rights and it is possible to say that most of them were considered in favor of the party.
The parliament also has such parties, which have nothing except for a chairman. In this case it would be unfair if the state allocate big funds to this party", noted he.
Calaloghlu also announced that it is possible to use Poland's practice in the sphere of parties financing.
"In this country, the parties, that passed a 3% barrier on proportional system are financed by the state", said Calaloghlu.
