23 October 2008 [14:06] - TODAY.AZ
"Opposition must continue cooperation in different format in current conditions", said chairman of the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan Sardar Jalaloghlu.
He said the party does not intend to join the Center for Cooperation of Opposition as the aims of this center are still unclear.

"The Democratic Party of Azerbaijan considers that the heads of the leading parties must create a bloc for participation in municipal and parliamentary elections of Azerbaijan. This association is necessary for opposition to act as a single team", said he.

Jalaloghlu also announced that the association of four political parties, also comprising the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, does not exist at the moment.

"This coalition was created before the presidential elections. After they completed, each party continues independent operation", noted he.

It should be reminded that this coalition comprised Musavat, Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, National Independence Party and public forum "For Azerbaijan".
