Azerbaijan National Independence Party not to join oppositional coalition

22 October 2008 [15:35] - TODAY.AZ
The Azerbaijan National Independence Party does not intend to join any coalitions, blocs or associations, said spokesman for the party Ali Orujev.
He said by the decision of the political council, the party can not join any associations.

"Moreover, the ideology of the parties, represented in the Center for Cooperation of Opposition, which has proposed to create a coalition, has nothing to do with the positions of the National Independence Party of Azerbaijan. Moreover, the center has not made an official appeal to us on this issue.

In this connection, our political structure can not cooperate with these parties. The party considers that opposition may continue cooperation on national problems, while in the remaining cases cooperation is impossible for each party has its own strategy and ideological principles.

Our party has earlier been represented in the coalition of four. Currently, it is possible to say that there is no such coalition. In this situation it is difficult to speak about any cooperation", noted he.

It should be reminded that the Center for Cooperation of Opposition includes the Musavat Party, The Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, the Civil Development Party, Liberal Party and Public Forum "For Azerbaijan".
