Azerbaijani opposition leaders planning to hold a forum

08 October 2008 [10:42] - TODAY.AZ
The Center of Cooperation of Opposition is planning to hold a forum, functioning in Azerbaijan, October 11, said Arif Hajili, head of the central office of the Musavat party.
He said it was earlier proposed to hold a forum with participation of about 400 persons, yet the Executive powers did not allocate a site for the parties.

"It all proves again that the powers do not only prevent parties from arranging any events at the squares, but also hinder them from holding them in close spaces.

Due to the lack of a site, the opposition parties decided to arrange a forum in the head office of the Musavat party.

During the forum, the parties are going to analyze the work of current president Ilham Aliyev, carried out through the past five years, and inform the public about the opinion of the political structures, regarding the non-participation in the presidential elections. The forum will involve the parties, represented in the Center of Cooperation of Opposition", noted he.

It should be noted that the Center of Cooperation of Opposition includes the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, Liberal Party, Musavat party, Civil Development Party and Public Forum "For Azerbaijan".
