Azerbaijan National Independence Party defines several variants of participation in presidential elections

The session of the Political Council of the Azerbaijan National Independence Party to pass a decision about participation in the presidential elections will be held in the first decade of August, said spokesman for steering issues Nazim Aleskerov.

He said the party has defined several variants of participation in the presidential elections of Azerbaijan.

"Under the first variant, the party must nominate its candidate for presidential elections. This possibility is law, as the party leader does not intend to participate in the elections.

The second proposal envisions support of the party to the candidacy, which will have common views with our political structure.

And, in line with the third version, the party will offer free choice to the activists in defining the most worthy candidate. There is a high possibility that we will choose between the second and the third versions", said Aleskerov.

As for the works held in connection with the session, the spokesman said.

"The party is still unable to find an appropriate place for conduction of the session. We can not rent an office event from private persons, for when they hear that the session of the National Independence Party will be held there, they refuse to lend it to us. In such a situation it is difficult to predict the actions of our political structures and even so more to speak of the definite date of the session", said the spokesman.
