Khazar Ibrahim: "Azerbaijan will continue efforts for restoration of peace in Iraq"

Azerbaijan takes part in the peacekeeping operation of the international coalition in Iraq deliberately and during such operation there is a risk to lives of military men, said spokesman for Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Khazar Ibrahim, commenting on the death of an Azerbaijani peacekeeper in Iraq.

He noted that Azerbaijan is a responsible member of the world community and therefore it takes steps to restore peace and security in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"There are victims among contingents of other countries in Iraq as well. Death of the military man is a great loss for Azerbaijan. But on the other hand Azerbaijan will continue efforts for peace and security", said Ibrahim.
