A new building of NATO international school inaugurated in Baku

Inauguration of a new building of NATO international school of Azerbaijan (NISA) was held in Baku Tuesday.
According to APA, NATO Assistant Secretary General for the Public Diplomacy Division Jean-Francois Bureau spoke at the opening ceremony about the importance of such kind of schools and urged to expand and to develop the activity of these schools. Jean-Francois Bureau said this school would provide the students with the opportunities to get wide information about the NATO and international processes in general.

NATO official said the alliance united the democratic countries which considered energy security, democracy, human rights, stability and development as the main values. The head of Azerbaijan’s Permanent Mission to NATO Kamil Khasiyev spoke about the history of NATO schools and the role of such institutions in the development of diplomacy. He said so far more than 400 students from Azerbaijan and other countries studied in the NATO school established in 2003. Khasiyev said the Government of Azerbaijan showed comprehensive assistance to NISA.
