Opposition parties likely to join efforts for arranging meetings in Azerbaijani regions

The due announcement was made by Azadlyg party chairman Ahmed Oruj.

He said they have sent a request to the law enforcement bodies regarding their detention, with no response received yet.

"Nevertheless, the parties, joining the Union for Democracy, will resume meetings with the population in the near future. The Center of Democratic Elections proposed to all opposition parties to join efforts in arranging meetings in the regions so that to demonstrate power of the opposition.

Currently, talks on this issue are held with separate parties, but no definite decision has been adopted yet", he noted.

Oruj added that the Center of Democratic Elections also discusses the arrangement of meetings in the regions with the International Institute of Democracy.
