Azerbaijan to hand over captured Armenian soldier to Armenia

The Defense Ministry of Armenia said the captive will be handed over to Armenia on the contact line of the troops, in Gazakh-Ijevan region, Azerbaijan-Armenia border at 01:00 p.m. tomorrow.

Asaturyan Ambarsum Mnakovich, 23-year old resident of Armavik and the soldier of the Armenian Armed Forces, who was drafted on May 17, 2007 was captured on August 4, 2007.

Asaturyan explained it with the arbitrariness in the Armenian Army.

The captive asked to help him to visit his mother who lives in Russia.

Ashaturyan wrote in his letter that officers hurt soldiers in the Armenian Army, beating and torturing them.
