Detained Armenian National Committee leader planned terror acts against Azerbaijani and Turkish Diasporas

The cases like that of Vigen Patatanyan are not rare. Armenians committed terror acts and massacres against Azerbaijanis try to hide their crimes and settle abroad, Azerbaijani National Security Ministry spokesman Arif Babayev told the APA while commenting on former Armenian lieutenant Vigen Patatanyan's extradition from the US.

"There are enough facts proving that Armenian Diaspora and lobby claiming of Armenian genocide, support terrorism. For example, US law-enforcement bodies have recently arrested chief of Armenian National Committee Murad Topalayan. Topalayan had planned to commit explosions in the administrative offices of Turkish and Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations in the US. He even hired a cell in Belford and gathered explosives and weapons. But he was detained by the US security bodies," he said.

APA's US bureau reports that former officer of Armenian Army Vigen Patatanyan was detained in the city of San Diego on America-Mexico border trying to enter the US with forged documents. Patatanyan said during the interrogation in Migration and Customs Service that he closely participated in delivering soldiers and weapons to fight against Azerbaijanis during the first Karabakh war.
