The parties' leaders are negotiating over setting up a new coordination center of opposition partie.

The leaders first meet in the office of Social Forum for Azerbaijans, chief of the Organizing Committee for preparation for the Congress of Azerbaijan democrat Party (ADP) Serdar Jalaloglu told the APA.

Musavat leader Isa Gambar, president of Social Forum for Azerbaijan Eldar Namazov, chief of Open Society Party Akif Shahbazov as a representative of Rasul Guliyev, representative of the leader of Azerbaijan National Independence Party Etibar Mammadov, chief of Progress Party Chingiz Demiroglu participated in the meeting.

"Setting up coordination center of opposition forces was debated at the meeting. An agreement was reached on involving other opposition leaders in this process and establishing a larger opposition alliance. The process continues. I appealed to Azadliq alliance with regard to it. The alliance will debate it next week. If the proposal is accepted common coordinating center of Azerbaijani opposition will be set up. The board will debate on the issues such as elections and pass common decisions," he said.

"There is divergence among the opposition parties at present. If we state that we are ready to negotiate with the authorities despite divergences in the positions, why not to be together with opposition parties," he said.

Jalaloglu considers it necessary to find a new way for exchange of views concerning the elections.
