Arthur Lenk: "Israel is not interested in escalation of tension in Palestine"

"Palestine is living hard times. Palestinians are in civil war. Israel is not interested in the escalation of situation in Palestine," Israel Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Arthur Lenk exclusively told.

He said Israel may forcefully be engaged in the events.

"If Hamas takes any step against Israelis to distract Palestinians' public attention from real events, we will defend our people. Israel is not wishing to be drawn in these events and we wish peace for Palestinian nation. We are not looking for war and we want to peacefully coexist with Palestinians."
