Iran's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Naser Hamidi Zare held talks with the Head of the Presidential Office's Socio-Political Department of Azerbaijan Ali Hasanov on Tuesday.

Hamidi Zare referred to the abundant religious, cultural and historical commonalties between the two friendly countries, adding that given the affinities and common interests in expanding cooperation, ill-wishers cannot tarnish the friendly and brotherly ties between the two countries.

He also underlined the need for finding a mechanism to further develop bilateral relations and prepare grounds for getting acquainted with each other's capabilities through increasing media cooperation and interactions between the political and social intellectuals of both countries.

Pointing to the Islamic Republic's valuable experiences in attaining freedom, strengthening independence as well as scientific and technological self-sufficiency, the ambassador added that Iran is ready to put its experiences at the disposal of Azerbaijan.

On his part, Ali Hasanov referred to the transparent stance of the Azeri President Ilham Aliyev in support of Iran's nuclear right, saying that the regional and neighboring countries will benefit from a powerful and developed Iran.

The two sides also agreed to hold a seminar to explore Iran-Azerbaijan relations in the current year. IRNA
