Azerbaijan Minister of Defence Industry to visit Pakistan

The talks will be held under the framework of the visit of the Azerbaijani Minister for Defense Industry, Yavar Jamalov, to Pakistan. The Azerbaijani Embassy to Pakistan has reported that preparations for the visit are being carried out by both countries.

Cooperation between the countries will be discussed during talks in the Pakistan Defense Industry Ministry. Jamalov will possibly meet with the Secretary Shaig Siddig Termidi.

IDEAS 2006, International Defense Exhibition, has attracted a lot of customers for the Pakistani made military equipment due to high quality and good prices.

It might be possible that Pakistan will offer JF-17 Multirole Fighter to Azerbaijan, but due to reliance on the majority of Russian fighters. Azerbaijan has already planned to bought MIG-29 aircrafts from Russia.

Reports suggests that Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense is likely to be interested in small arms or possibly tanks from Pakistan.
