Lukashenko to visit Azerbaijan

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko is scheduled to pay a state visit to Azerbaijan in the first half of 2007, Belarus ambassador Nikolay Pastkevich told journalists.

Pastkevich added that nearly 20 documents are intended to be signed between the two countries.

"More than 10 documents are ready for signing. These documents are agreements on friendship and cooperation between the two countries, veterinary and phytosanitary inspection, pension, agreements on cooperation between banks and scientific institutions," the ambassador said, APA reports.
