Azeri MPs attend meeting of PACE Subcommittee for Human Rights

Members of Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov, Gultekin Hajiyeva and Rafael Huseynov attended the meeting.

Chief of PACE Subcommittee for human rights Mr. Gardetto reported about the situation of human rights in Europe. The issue on arrest of Ferhad Aliyev, former Economic Development Minister of Azerbaijan was discussed at the meeting.

Samad Seyidov, head of Azerbaijani delegation to PACE told the APA's correspondent that necessary documents were presented to the committee.

"The documents connected with all cases have been presented to the Subcommittee for Human Rights. No discussion was held at the meeting of the committee, in fact. They intended to raise previous issues, and Rafel Huseynov presented the documents on Ferhad Aliyev's medical examination. We always say that conditions are created for all who need medical treatment," he said.

Human rights defender Murad Sadeddinov also attended the meeting.
