PACE to debate on honoring of obligations by Azerbaijan

Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will start its spring session in Strasbourg at 14.30 Baku time.

Members of the Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov, Gultakin Hajiyeva, Ali Huseynov, Rafael Huseynov, Ganira Pashayeva and Sabir Hadjiyev are already in Strasbourg.

PACE president Ren? van der Linden will open the session with introductory speech. After discussions on the current situation in the Middle East, the committees will meet. The Assembly's debate on honoring of obligations and commitments by Azerbaijan will be held at 18.00 Baku time. The report drawn up by the Monitoring Committee's co-reporters on Azerbaijan Andres Herkel and Tony Lloyd will be debated.

The session will also debate Montenegro's admittance to the Council of Europe, political parties' positive experience and issue on candidates for the European Court the next day. On April 18, PACE session will debate on human rights and democracy in Europe, PACE activity's results.

The debates on the honoring of obligations taken by Monaco before the Council of Europe will be held on April 19. The last day of the session will be devoted to the debates on the quality of medicine in Europe, APA reports.
