Vietnam intends to open Embassy in Azerbaijan

Proposal on the opening of Vietnam's Embassy in Azerbaijan is being discussed, Vietnam's Foreign Ministry first European department's chief Von Txhua Tsong told.

He said that the diplomatic relations between two countries were established 15 years ago, but active measures for deepening of these relations lacked, APA reports.

"We are considering further steps for the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Vietnam. We have invited Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov to visit our country," he said.

The Vietnam Socialist Republic's first president visited Baku in 1959.
