Missing persons in the South Caucasus report not on PACE spring session's agenda

03 April 2007 [13:27] - TODAY.AZ
The report on missing persons in the South Caucasus has not been included into the preliminary agenda of the spring session of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE).

But the report may probably be included into the agenda by April 15, Leo Platvoet, rapporteur on missing persons in the South Caucasus told. He stated that he made all efforts for the debate of the report during the spring session.

"I am not the member of the commission that deals with the session’s agenda. The largest part of the session will be dedicated to the situation of human rights in Europe. My report contains very important information. So, I hope it will be included into the agenda," he said.

Mr.Platvoet said if the report is not debated during the spring session, he will present it to the meeting of the PACE Standing Committee scheduled for May 24 in Belgrade, APA reports.
